Minutes of Main Meeting, 10 May 2023 at 10 a.m.

Chair, Alison Currah, welcomed Members to the Meeting. Usual fire regulations etc. were mentioned.
Marilyn and Peter King were thanked for being Greeters.
Chairs News:
At the previous Friday’s Committee Meeting, Andrea Brocklebank was co-opted onto the Committee making a total of twelve members. Photos from our Coronation Tea are now on the Website.

Yvonne Toms commented, following speaking at another u3a Group, what a wonderful u3a Group we have with such a variety of Groups and a hard working Committee and Chair.

This month’s Speakers – u3a Members’ Showcase:
Dot Dunning then gave a very interesting talk on her training and breeding Weimaraner dogs, Grey Ghosts, and included all the hard work involved in achieving top awards at Crufts with her beautiful dog Jess.
Iris Ward had the Members reminiscing some of the marvellous musicals she produced with the u3a Third Age Thespians over the past years and the morning ended with the members singing numerous jolly songs.
