Walking Groups

David & Jenny Barker’s Walking group enjoying the bluebells at Lanhydrock, April 2022

On the last day of May 2021, the Walking group had a great walk on Bodmin Moor near Minions. The group were greeted by a cuckoo which flew ahead of them for a while, ‘cuckoo-ing’ all the way!

The infamous cuckoo (although not the one spotted on our intrepid walkers’ recent visit to Minions!)

The walking group recently enjoyed a walk on the stunning coastline from Lantic Bay to Polruan

There are two walking groups which head out every Wednesday except when it coincides with the u3a monthly meeting.

Walks normally start at 10.30 and last for around two hours, often followed by lunch.

David Barker leads the first group with walks of about 4 miles in circular cross country walks.

Gina Bridges leads the second group, The Swallows, which caters for those who are interested in shorter walks.

Dogs are welcome provided they are kept under control and on a lead.
