Minutes of a Main Meeting held on Wednesday 8 November 2023, at St. Martins Community Hall, East Looe.
Chair, Alison Currah, welcomed everyone to the meeting and thanked Greeters, Dot Dunning, Marilyn and Peter King. She notified members of the usual fire drill etc.
Chair:
At our AGM on 14 February 2024 Tony Smith, Looe Mayor, will give a local update on developments in the town and area. Members were requested to write out any questions they would like to put to him and place in the box provided. Another opportunity for this would be at our January 2024 Meeting. This would give time for him to respond accordingly.
The Coffee and Natter group had not been well attended and Catherine Foley, from the Library and Community Hub, had asked that it be opened to non U3A Members as well. This was considered a good idea to promote our u3a and attract new members. This will take place on Friday 10 November – 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Non-members could then attend the January 2024 Meeting as guests with a view to joining at our AGM in February.
