Looe & District u3a is 30 years old (well, 31 really but our celebrations had to be put on hold because of the pandemic). On Wednesday 18th May, St. Martin’s Hall was a buzz of chatter and reminiscences but also talk of the future and the next 30 years.
Archive material dating back to the group’s inception in 1991 and albums full of group activities, trips and visits, carnival entries and entertainments was on display which interested and delighted members old and new.
Following a delicious lunch, the current Chair, Alison Currah, read the Roll of Honour of past Chairmen and proposed a toast to Looe & District u3a, the next 30 years.
