Minutes of March 2022 Main Monthly Meeting
Chair (Alison Currah) welcomed everybody and thanked them for attending. It was a pleasure to see so many members (86) back in St Martins Hall. Alison welcomed the new members and asked existing members to make them welcome. She reported that, sadly, Paula West has passed, and our Welfare Officer will be sending a card.
Alison went on to introduce all members of the committee so members could put a face to a name.
The programme of events and activities has been distributed and she thanked all for their help in compiling it, especially Dot Dunning for all her work in printing it.
Tickets for all events can now be purchased at any time, but please use the social bank account for payment NOT the main account. Details are in the programme or by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org
Alison outlined the busy programme of events taking place during the year.

Details of activities with the Garden Safari group, gorgeous Grub group and Bridge/Mah-jong were provided by the group leaders.
Chris Barwell is looking to start a new ‘Science’ group and invited members to get in touch for more details.
Lanreath music group are looking for new members, especially men to join them Also, the BBC programme ‘Antiques Roadshow’ will be at Eden Project soon and details are on their website.
Alison then introduced the speaker, Yvonne Toms, one of our members. Her talk was entitled ‘Personal memoirs of working as a housemaid at Buckingham Palace’
The speaker for next month is David Tovey – (independent art historian) on the subject of ‘Polperro – Cornwall’s Forgotten Arts Centre’
